Founded since 1945, Schmersal has evolved from the humble beginning of producing parts for lifts to producing mechanical switching devices. Then on, more products were added from contactless magnetic switches to proximity switches and safety control devices.

Today, the Schmersal Group, headquartered in Germany further expanded its production facilities to Brazil, China and India, employing over 1350 employees.
